The Best Rated Home Air Purifier – The Airdoctor 3500
|
|
Our Airdoctor 3500 Review revealed some interesting information. It’s a powerful air purifier ideal for medium to large rooms in your home.
It utilizes a pre-filter that captures large particles like dust and pet hair. Then a Carbon filter captures toxic ozone, gases, odors, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) like formaldehyde. Finally, an UltraHEPA filter captures 99.99% of ultra-fine airborne contaminants like pollen, mold spores, smoke, bacteria, and viruses.
The primary benefit of the Airdoctor 3500 is that it filters out toxins and airborne pollutants – from dust mites, allergens, pollen, mold spores, pet dander, smoke, bacteria, and viruses.

How Does The AirDoctor 3500 Work?
The AirDoctor 3500 works with an automatic sensor and the fan speed adjusts
depending on what is in the air around it. It is constantly running and
filtering on auto mode. The light indicator on the machine will tell you the air quality
around it. Low speed and blue light mean good air quality. Medium speed
and orange light mean moderate air quality. High speed and red light
mean poor air quality.
Most of the time, ours runs on low.
It is recommended to replace the filters every 6-12 months (depending on the filter). The
machine will tell you when the filters need to be replaced, which is
super nice as you don’t have to remember. To replace them, remove the
cover and place them inside in the correct order. When you purchase your AirDoctor, it comes with filters. You will then have to replace them going forward.
When the AirDoctor is on auto mode, it's REALLY quiet - I don’t
even notice it running. It gets louder at the highest setting, but even that is pretty quiet.
Pros:
- Professional grade with 3 filtration stages –
pre-filter, carbon/VOC filter, and an UltraHEPA filter.
- UltraHEPA filtration captures 99.9% of particles – it removes particles 100x smaller than the HEPA standard and typical HEPA filters!
- High CADR rating (340) –
CADR stands for Clean Air Delivery Rating and depends on how fast your
purifier can clean the air compared to the room size. For a large room,
you would want a higher rating. It is best to have an air purifier with a
CADR of at least 80.
- Third-party laboratory testing
- Automatically adjusts to the surroundings with its sensors
- It is very affordable compared to other brands with similar features.
- Notifies you when you need to change the filters.
- Ability to dim it so no lights are on (HUGE for when sleeping!)
- Easily portable – they are fairly lightweight and can easily be moved from different rooms if needed.
Cons:
- Need to buy new filters every 6-12 months – but this is true of any high quality air purifier.
In conclusion, I strongly recommend the AirDoctor 3500. It's easy to see why it's the best rated home air purifier.
For the price point, it offers
the best performance,
quality
and value.
